TV36 ELECTS NEW BOARD MEMBERS

TV 36 / Communities on Cable, Inc. elected 13 new members to its Board of Trustees at its annual meeting on Thursday, June 19th held at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey in Summit. Joining the TV36 board effective immediately are Chris Taylor and Richard Toole of Berkeley Heights; Kassandra Romas and John Serrut of Millburn/Short Hills; Dawn Moriarity of New Providence; and John Crosby, P. Kelly Hatfield, Russ Hulsizer, Frank Macioce, Paula Mooney, Chase Newhart, Henry Ogden and Hill Rose of Summit. They join 20 returning board members who were re-elected at the June 19th meeting.

TV36 also elected a slate of officers for the 2008-2009 year. They are Fred Honold, President & CEO; Bob Davies, Executive Vice President for Operations; Paula Mooney, Executive Vice President for Marketing; John Serruto, Executive Vice President for Productions; Beth Brier, Vice President for Policy; Roger Smith, Vice President for Public Relations; Janet Parmelee, Vice President for Planning; Rick Wolffe, Vice President for Programming; Bill Bennett, Vice President for Strategy; Don Slagt and Tom McDermott, Vice Presidents for Fundraising; Frank Grayeski, Vice President for Best Practices; Jill Harris and Jack Anderson, Treasurers; Miles MacMahon, Parliamentarian; and Bob Davies, Secretary-Pro Tem. In addition, Elaine Becker, a former President and long time board member, was elected to the new position of President Emeritus.

President Fred Honold delivered a very favorable state-of-the-station report to the assembled members. He particularly commended the many board members who developed new programming during 2007-2008.

Treasurer Jill Harris reported on TV36’s sound fiscal health.

Station Manager Jesse Patterson reported on the station’s many operational successes of the past year.

President Emeritus Elaine Becker provided the group with an historical perspective of TV36’s accomplishments. TV36 is now 28 years old and well-positioned for future growth.
